Local Economic Development

Successful growth can be attained more readily through a multi-lateral and multi-dimensional approach. Rather than entrusting the responsibility of economic development wholly to one entity, that responsibility should ideally be shouldered by the public, private and non-governmental sectors-a collaborative effort would naturally ensure a more effective outcome.

Through its affiliate, Prime, BDC, in collaboration with its many partners, intends to collectively seize the rewarding opportunity of playing a bigger role in the community and by providing effective action on various fronts to create better conditions for economic growth and employment generation with the aim of improving the quality of life for all Jordanians. Prime will therefore seek to:

  • Assess the needs of local communities and design effective solutions to address them

  • Design outreach initiatives to build the capacity of individuals and businesses in struggling communities

  • Organize knowledge-sharing seminars and conferences to develop common vision

  • Mobilize support from government and NGOs to design strategy aimed at stimulating jobs and growth

  • Develop and encourage Corporate Social Responsibility strategies and initiatives pertinent to Jordanís identity and culture

  • Encourage communities to embrace and reap the rewards of volunteerism
